The design and lines of the exhaust have been specially developed to integrate with the bike, and the system is finished with a sandblasted stainless-steel heatshield to protect the rider’s equipment and a laser-engraved Akrapovic logo on the muffler for a classy and refined look. During the development phase, the engineers focused on throttle response and rideability, with performance enhanced by a 1.2 hp increase in power and a torque gain of 1.6 Nm, both at 6,200 rpm, when compared to a BMW R 12 nineT equipped with a standard stock system and tested on the in-house dyno. Weight is reduced by 10.6% over the stock exhaust, and the Slip-On meets type approval for an EC/ECE certificate. This exhaust is a plug-and-play installation that requires no remapping. The exhaust system also fits on the BMW R 12 standard version.
